Learn Arabic

Learning Arabic is like a long journey; many attempt it, but few succeed. To make this journey successful, four things are necessary:

Join in!

Together we can make a difference

Dua (supplication)

All success comes from Allah the Most High. The most important thing, therefore, is to ask Allah the Most High to grant you success. After that, it's up to us to take the right steps by making the effort.

End goal

The final destination of our journey is: Reading comprehension in Arabic, with a focus on classical texts. To avoid disappointment, the above does not imply: •That you understand everything immediately, but that you are able to look up the meaning. •That you are able to understand the text from an Islamic perspective. There is a difference between understanding a sentence linguistically and terminologically. For the latter, a teacher is required. •That you understand texts with rhetoric (بلاغة).

Accompanist

This journey is arduous, difficult, and long. One of the most important factors for success is that you need a teacher who can guide you. I can help you with this, based on my own journey. I will do my best to share everything I know and have learned on this website. However, it will not be enough to reach your final destination. What is necessary is that you find an Arabic teacher. Insha'a Allah, I will help you with this too by referring you to the right teacher.

Structure

To achieve the above objective, structure is necessary, for which I've developed a step-by-step plan. This way, you can simplify your journey and progress at your own pace. During this journey, you will learn: •How to search in a dictionary; •A method for linguistically analyzing texts; •A method for grammatically analyzing texts.

GO ARABIC STEP-BY-STEP PLAN

The step-by-step plan consists of 9 steps:

  • 1. Why do you want to learn the Arabic language?

Arabic Language Goals: The first question you should ask yourself is: why do I want to use Arabic? Then, you need to choose a method that suits your goals. Do you want to learn the Arabic alphabet, learn to write in Arabic, or learn to read the Quran? Know why you want to learn Arabic, and it will be much easier.
